Thanks for supporting Fivespot

Fivespot was a list of my favorite $5 MP3 albums from Amazon's monthly selection. I ran it from May 2010 until May 2011.

Having a monthly deadline gave me focus – what could I do with just a few spare hours? It also forced me to commit – something had to ship, every month.

The project itself was more useful to me as an experiment than to other people as a product. It was a chance for me to learn about affiliate marketing, the Ruby programming language, web micro-frameworks, Amazon API's, authentication systems, web services, HTTP caching, minimum viable products, content management systems, and dozens of other things along the way.

Thanks for supporting my little project. I hope it helped you find great new music to love!
